The Pilot Knob Amateur Radio Club is an ARRL Affiliate Club open to all those interested in the exciting hobby of radio communications.  The club was started over 40 years ago by some Hams that wanted to share their experiences with other local radio enthusiasts, exchange ideas and knowledge to enhance their technical abilities, and to be a source of knowledge and guidance to new enthusiasts who want to enter the hobby.

Presently our activities include monthly meetings at 7pm, 1st Thursday of the month at the Emergency Management Conference room, basement of Leavenworth County Courthouse, in Leavenworth, Kansas.  Each monthly meeting consists of a short business meeting, then a program i.e. technical presentation, sharing operating items and the many other areas of Amateur Radio.

for further information please contact us at KS0LV@ARRL.net

We uphold those goals as a club, and have expanded our charter to include providing communications services for community events, emergencies and disasters, acting as spotters of severe weather for the Leavenworth County Office of Emergency Management, providing formal training and education for those taking examinations for Amateur Radio Licenses and providing VEs to help administer those exams.  We also sponsor a number of social events throughout the year for the general enjoyment of our membership.

Our members receive a monthly newsletter, The QRZ, along with many other benefits.
