Today, we continue to uphold those goals as a club, but have expanded our purpose to include those of providing communications services for community events, emergencies and disasters, acting as spotters of severe weather for the Leavenworth County Office of Emergency Management, providing formal training and education for those taking examinations for Amateur Radio Licenses and providing VEs to help administer those exams. We also sponsor a number of social events throughout the year for the general enjoyment of our membership.
The club currently has approximately 85 members, mostly in Leavenworth and surrounding counties, but anyone with an interest is invited to join and enjoy the fun. Our members receive a monthly news letter, The QRZ, along with many other benefits.
